Newsletter 2, 17 February 2016

Dear Parents,

Each year the school has called for volunteers to join the school board. This year there are up to 3 vacancies open to parents of enrolled students to join the board and have a direct input to the decision making affecting the school. The school board is a fine opportunity to learn more about how the school runs from year to year, and how our shared participation can modify b oth the culture and accomplishment. Yuluma is your school, for your children and it is important that we work together to build strong community links and respond to community expectations.

Meetings are held twice per term on the Monday of weeks 3 and 8, from 3.15pm. Meetings last an hour to 90 minutes. Any questions can be directed to the principal, staff or community members currently on the board.

Nominations are hereby called for any parent of an enrolled student to express their interest in joining the school board. No prior experience is necessary. Your interest and enthusiasm to see the school grow and develop further are important factors. Please email your interest the front office at Yuluma.ps@education.wa.edu.au by the close of business on Friday 26th February.
